Today at 8 o’clock the heavy load carrier „Jumbo Jubilee“ left the port of Nordenham (near Bremerhaven) with course Taiwan. On board are the first four monopiles manufactured by Steelwind for the Yunlin project. The foundations for Yunlin, half of which are made entirely in Germany and the other half in Taiwan, are real heavyweights: With a length of up to 95 m, a weight of up to 1,750 t and a diameter of 8 m, they are designed to withstand the special conditions of the site with typhoons, earthquakes and currents at all times.
The voyage time is calculated with 4 to 5 weeks.
