To electrically connect the WTGs to each other and then to bring the power from the wind farm to shore, 270 kilometers of subsea cable have to be laid. This will be achieved by 2 cable laying vessels and various supporting units within the field. Horizontal drilling with a total length of 3,500 metres will also be necessary.
All cables are manufactured by Sumitomo Electric Industries in Japan and LS Cable & System in South Korea, while domestic subcontractor Hung-Hua Construction takes near shore cable works and Seaway Offshore Cables will be responsible for Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Installation.
