The Kouhu Quianshuizang is the largest religious ceremony in Taiwan. It is dedicated to the liberation of the spirits of those who fell victim to the flood disaster of 1845 and forms a deep and meaningful part of the culture and traditions of the local people. The locals not only worship their ancestors and bring peace to their spirits, but also pray for their blessings.
During the development of OWF Yunlin, the project team participated in the ceremony, and last year (2019) we had the honour to join the locals in carrying and releasing the water lanterns. During the ceremony we also prayed for the welfare of our wind farm. Our participation and the international members of our team also gave a different touch to the local event, reminding us of the goal of OWF Yunlin's commitment to the development of Yunlin County through an integrated international team and close cooperation with the communities.
