Taiwan’s first offshore wind turbine with local content has been successfully installed earlier today off the coast of Yunlin County.
The transition piece and tower of the wind turbine were manufactured by local companies. The installation today marking an important milestone of the localization of the offshore wind power industry in Taiwan.
The maritime construction of the Yunlin offshore wind project is progressing at full speed. The project is scheduled to start its grid connection work from the third quarter of 2021.
